Tara is Managing Director and founding member of EPGE, and Managing Director of DREAM. Over 25 years of professional experience in Europe, USA, Asia, and Middle East. Sector experience includes Renewable and Conventional energy, Environmental and Risk related services, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Financial Services. Past roles: Appointee Director, Imperial Innovations of Imperial College, Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, and, Director of Strategic Planning for Global Equities at Salomon Brothers. Relevant Projects: the 80 MW Orites Wind Farm in Cyprus (largest in the Mediterranean), the 80 MW Chirnogeni Wind Farm financed by EBRD, the first project financed wind asset in Romania, won Deal of the Year award for 2012, the 117 MW Tafila Wind Farm in Jordan, the first utility scale Wind Farm in Middle East, won Renewable deal of the Year award for ME, 2013, and the 10 MW Shamsuna Solar Plant in Aqaba, financed by the IFC. BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from University College London, MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering, and, PhD in Fluid Mechanics from Imperial College, London.

Sophocles joined EP Global Energy in 2011, and is currently part of the solar project development team. Sophocles has over 10 years of experience in different aspects of the energy sector. Prior to joining EPGE, he was an Advisor to the University of Cyprus, an Energy Officer at the Energy Service of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, working on the development of a major energy infrastructure hub including a LNG re-gasification terminal and a petroleum storage facility. Prior to that Sophocles was an energy consultant at ILEX Energy Consulting (now Pöyry Management Consulting, Energy) based in Oxford UK, responsible for modelling long-term electricity price projections and producing the GB Electricity Market report. Sophocles has a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia, Norwich and an MSc in Environmental Technology (Energy Policy Specialisation) from Imperial College London.
